Last November, I started a small rescue effort by posting Instagram stories of all the wonderful dogs and cats that changed our lives for the better. I dubbed it “Thanksgiving for Our Doggies and Kitties.” It was a resounding success, as tons of people sent me their pictures, and even more liked and commented.
That’s why we were stoked when Grounds and Hounds Coffee contacted us to represent them. I seriously love them, and the MOM loves their coffee. That’s because 20% of all profits generated by Grounds and Hounds Coffee Co. are donated to animal rescue programs throughout the country – that’s right, not just where they are located! The slaves tried out the Rescue Roast, a medium roast of 100% Arabica, fair trade organic specialty blend. Grounds and Hounds sources green coffee from around the world. Not only do they donate money to help doggies and kitties, but they also help out the coffee growers as well – fair trade means that the farmers are getting fair prices for the coffee.

MOM says that the coffee was delicious! And she can be pretty picky about coffee. She says she’s “used” to her ol’ Folgers, so to have a Cup of Joe that’s not her normal blend is something special.

I have to tell you that one of the best parts about this company is how real and transparent they are. I love hearing a great doggy rescue story, so I really liked to read about Molly, the big dog of the company. Molly’s slave is Jordan Karcher, Founder & CEO of Grounds and Hounds Coffee Co.
According to the site, Jordan stumbled on a rescue dog operation somewhere in California. California is somewhere really far away from me, but apparently, they have doggies and kitties that need rescuing too. Molly is a Dalmatian, and she’s got a really nice name. She’s also got very cute spots.
